Tudec Development Center, a Turkish Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) based in Ghana through the social welfare department of the Adentan Municipal Assembly, donated wheelchairs to twelve (12) persons with disabilities (PWDs).
The event was held at the forecourt of the Municipal Assembly on the 18th of November, 2021, chaired by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Daniel Alexander Nii-Noi Adumuah.
He acknowledged and showed gratitude to Tudec Development for their immense effort and considering PWDs in the Adentan Municipality. He also asked the PWDs to report to the social welfare department of the Municipal Assembly when the wheelchairs develop faults.
In a speech delivered by Mr Cafer Tepeli, the Public Relations Officer of Tudec Development Center, he mentioned that Tudec is much concerned with the welfare of people and as part of their mandate is to provide wheelchairs PWDs and other basic needs to the less privileged.
Beneficiaries include three (3) pupils, namely a five-year-old Nathaniel Afudego, eight-year-old Lenisso Aboagye and 13 years old Dela Doku. Other beneficiaries include Mr Lawrence Abban, the chairman of the PWD organization who is a shoemaker; Mr Paul Baafi Dampare, a tailor; Mr Peter Asamoah, a trader and Madam Jane Sika Mensah, an artisan.
On behalf of the PWD organization, Mr Samuel Sackey Affum, its acting financial secretary, expressed their gratitude to Tudec Development Center and the Municipal Assembly for their recognition and support.
